What is the difference between Spring Aqua and Bottled Water?

Spring Aqua

PURE

Pure Like Spring Water
There are several mountain springs that attract millions of people annually due to the healing properties of the water. These are known as the “healing” or “curative” waters. Scientists studied the layers of rocks and water content so that we could deliver the ECO System (Mountain in A box) into your home professionally installed.

LIFE

Hydrogen Water
1.4ppm-1.6ppm in dissolved molecular hydrogen (H2). H2 is gaining significant attention from academic researchers, medical doctors, and physicians around the world for its recently reported therapeutic potential and a very strong antioxidant.

Alkaline Water
Alkaline water pH of 9.2-9.5. Blood that is slightly alkaline, or 7.35 to 7.45, is optimal for proper body functions. Most people with an imbalance are too acidic which can cause a variety of health ailments. By drinking alkaline water is an attempt to help balance the body’s pH.
[L2]

Cooking and Drinking Water
pH of 7.8-8.2 left side faucet water for drinking coffee, tea, and the application of cooking with clean water.

Micro-Clustered Water

By drinking water that contains fewer molecules, or micro-clustered you can hydrate your body more quickly and effectively, enhance energy levels, improve your overall aerobic capacity and health and prevent premature aging. [L3]

Mineral Water
Minerals added back into water as Micro-Nutrients. The Maifan Stone is a special mineral rock used in Chinese Medicine is purified at high temperature to remove impurities, therefore leaving it in the pure crystal form. It is known for some of its trace minerals like calcium, iron, copper, zinc, magnesium, and selenium.

Bottled Water

PURE

Bottled water is drinking water (e.g., well water, distilled water, mineral water, or spring water) packaged in PET Bottle or Glass Water Bottles. Bottled water may be carbonated or not. Sizes range from small single serving bottles to large carboys for water coolers. [P1]

CLEAN

On average, it takes 1.32 litres of water to produce 1 litres of bottled water. This includes 1 litres of ingredient water and 0.32 litres of water used in facility processes such as treatment, bottling, and maintenance. Small pack facilities (facilities that package water in containers between 8 oz. and 2.5 gallons) use the least amount of water (1.26 litres per 1 litres), followed by mixed packaging facilities (1.46 litres per 1 litres). Facilities that package water for home and office delivery in sizes of 2.5 gallons to 5 gallons use the most water (1.56 litres per 1 litres). [C2]

We are now at a million plastic bottles per minute of which 91% is not recycled. Several recent reports indicate the dire global situation associated with the world's plastic use. Two statistics jump out immediately. One, that globally humans buy a million plastic bottles per minute. The second, 91% of all plastic is not recycled. On top of that, it is estimated that over half a trillion plastic bottles will be sold in 2020. [C3]

SAFE

93% of bottled water showed some sign of microplastic contamination. Average of 10.4 microplastic particles >100 um per litre of bottled water. Including smaller particles (6.5–100 um), average of 325 microplastic particles per litre. For particles > 100 um: Fragments were the most common morphology (66%) followed by fibres Polypropylene was the most common polymer (54%) Matches a common plastic used for the bottle cap, 4% of particles showed presence of industrial lubricants. Data suggests contamination is at least partially coming from the packaging and/or the bottling process itself. Here is a short list of some common brands studied: Aquafina, Evian, Dasani, San Pellegrino, Nestle Pure Life, etc. [S1]

The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced a review into the potential risks of plastic in drinking water after a new analysis of some of the world’s most popular bottled water brands found that more than 90% contained tiny pieces of plastic. A previous study also found high levels of microplastics in tap water. [S2]

3 Hazards Commonly Found in Plastic Water Bottles: #1 Bisphenol (BPA) is a chemical that Big Industries uses to stabilize epoxy resins and polycarbonate plastics or hard plastics. It is known to leach into the water when exposed to heat, which in turn creates “faux estrogen” or what is known as bad estrogen. #2 Polyethylene terephthalate (PET). PET Bottles are BPA-Free, but they pose other potential health risks. PET bottles contain contaminants of fecal matter, saliva, and food residues in the plastic, so they are hazardous to your health when re-used. This is primarily a result of the soft plastic which is nearly impossible to clean, thus the reason for the significant presence of contaminants after multiple usage. #3 Phthalates are another chemical compound used to make plastic flexible, particularly PVC. The also leach into the water contained in their bottles or water supplied by PVC (polyvinyl chloride). The problems they cause in humans include: liver cancer, testicular atrophy, and sterility in males. [S3]

LIFE

Bottled water is often stored as part of an emergency kit in case of natural disaster. The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) says the "safest" and "most reliable" source of drinking water is store bought bottled water. Commonly, disaster management experts recommend storing 1-US-gallon (3.8 L) of water per person, per day for at least three days. [L5]

A few advantages of bottled water are convenience, track your intake, taste and odor free, variety, and emergency preparation.

Due to the higher demand of Alkaline water, there are several companies providing bottled alkaline water making it more convenient.

Bottled water is stored water; therefore, the water is not considered fresh water. Often, we do not know how long the water has been stored in the bottle.
